January
2014
Captain Steve Torres Starts off
the new year with a 343 lb
Yellowfin Tuna  trolling with live
bait.  Since then the Yellowfin Tuna
fishing stayed hot offshore but
way offshore 80-120 miles so far
this year We have only found
these  type of Cow's on overnight
fishing Charters.   We also have
seen a few  60-160 lbs Yellowfin
Yellowfin seen a Tuna outside of
el banco about 60 miles from the
Marina Vallarta which you can do
in a 12 to 14 hour Charters.  36
miles offshore El Corbetena has
been producing Mahi Mahi/
Dorado and Sailfish and We
caught the first Striped Marlin of
the season last week as well at
Corbetena on a 10 hour fishing
charter    
The Marlin struck a Black Bart
lure while slow trolling.  Shorter
charters Inside Puerto Vallarta's
Banderas Bay has been very
slow this last week on 4 and 6
hour day's We only caught a few
Bonitas and Jack Cravelle off the
point has picked up this last week
on 8 hour charters We have
caught a couple big Roosterfish
in 15-40 lbs range with live bait
and also lots of Jack Crevalle

the offshore fishing has picked up
this last week We have been
seeing more and more Striped
Marlin averaging 70-120 lbs as
well as smaller Yellowfin Tuna
between 20-60 lbs biting outside
of el banco about 10 miles north
of the islands. bigger Yellowfin
Tuna are still hot but have not
come in any closer you still need
a over night charter 80 -120 miles
offshore to catch cow Yellowfin
tuna over 200 lbs. 36 miles
offshore at La Corbetena has
been producing big Mahi mahi
20-50 lbs and closer in off the
point and el morro 22 miles
offshore is where we have been
seeing the most action lots of
roosterfish captain Freddy caught
1 last week over 50 lbs. inside
Banderas bay there has been the
normal smaller action Jack
Crevalle, Bonitos,

it has been a great month of
fishing there is a big variety of
game fish to be caught right now
Jack Crevalle, Amber jack,
Mackeral, Bonitos, Roosterfish,
African Pompano,  Mahi Mahi,
Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna and
Striped Marlin. Right now All of
these Game fish are available to
be caught here in Puerto Vallarta
it just depends on which fishing
ground you choose to go to
inside the bay, off the point of
Punta de mita, el morro, La
Corbetena, el banco or way
offshore on over night charters
80-120 miles out.

We had another epic 2.5 Charter
April 2nd and 3rd 120 miles
offshore Puerto Vallarta.  We
caught 7 Yellowfin Tuna in total all
in the 100-250 lb range. We left
the Marina Vallarta around 7pm
on the 1st and Made it out past
the 3rd island by about 5am on
the 2nd.  The 1st morning was
slow all We caught was 1 striped
Marlin until about 4pm When we
finally had our first  Yellowfin Tuna

The weather is heating up and that
means it is the start of the Billfish  
season and Marlin fishing
Tournaments in Puerto Vallarta.  
Captain Freddy went out on a 10
hour day last Tuesday the 13th and
caught the first Black Marlin of the
Puerto Vallarta fishing Season after
releasing the the big fish captain
Freddy said it was about 500 lbs, He
caught the Black Marlin trolling back
from el banco about 20 miles off the
point of punta de mita in open water
with a Black bart lure. Sailfish have
started biting off the point of punta
de mita

Well it has been a pretty good
start for Billfish season nothing to
big yet the biggest Blue Marlin
reported was under 300 lbs but it
is just the start of Marlin season
and We predict We will start
seeing some marlin over 500 lbs
in the next couple weeks. The
best bite has been at the rock La
Corbetena Blue Marlin, Sailfish,
Dorado, and a few smaller
Yellowfin Tuna. The big Yellowfin
Tuna bite remains consistent

Marlin again at the 8th
international Marlin and Tuna  
tournament on July 19th 2014 this
time with a 480 lb blue Marlin
caught at el banco with live bait.

it was another great month of
fishing We had some rough
weather at the end of the month
which made for great weekend of
Black Marlin and Cubera Snapper
fishing offshore. Through out the
entire month every day seemed
plentiful though it was day to day
what type Game fish We would
catch We caught a few Yellowfin
Tuna at Corbetena as well as
Sailfish, Big Mahi mahi, and Blue
Marlin. with Black Marlin and
Snapper showing up at the end of
the month at the Bank and outside
of Corbetena all great signs for
September and October.  Inside
Banderas bay We have had some
great day's as well with small
Yellowfin Tuna biting on the
southside of the bay. the small
YFT were averaging 5-15 lbs
biting small sardine baits past Los
Arcos

Well We had up and down month
not for fishing but to able to go
fishing . We had a hurracaine a
few tropical storms but after that
was all done and the ocean  
settled down the last  week of
September and this 1st week of
October have been fantastic blue
and Black Marlin biting at El
Banco and Corbtena as well as
Sailfish and lots of big Mahi Mahi.  
We also caught several Yellowfin
Tuna at El banco as well but
definitely not as consistent as the
Billfish and Mahi mahi.  the guy's
have been catching and releasing
blue and black Marlin daily the

First I would like to say
congratulations to Brad Hurst who
caught his first big Marlin with
captain Freddy estimated at 600
lbs See this monster released in
Brads epic video below. Also I
want to congratulate captain Luis
and Team Animal house for taking
3rd place Marlin at the
international Marlin and Sailfish
Tournament at la Cruz October

It is has been a great month of
fishing all month We have been
seeing daily Billfish and Yellowfin
Tuna Hook ups offshore about 10
miles past el banco.  captain Luis
Ramos won 1st place Yellowfin tuna
aboard the Animal house at the
59th International tourrnament on
the 18th.  The Yellowfin Tuna
weighed 213 lbs see in photos
below.  The Marlin have been
avergaing 150-300 lbs biting big
live baits and lures, trolling.

Sailfish, and and big Dorado and

It has been a great month of fishing
full of suprises inshore and
offshore. The offshore Puerto
Vallarta fishing waters are still
producing alot of Sailfish, Dorado,
Marlin, and monster Yellowfin
Tuna.  The Yellowfin Tuna bite has
been fluxuating between 60-70
miles offshore.  Also this last week
there were a couple of Blue and
