Puerto Vallarta fishing report February 2018
It has been a great month of fishing so far we have been catching a mix of
different species inshore and offshore.   Offshore fishing charters We have been
catching Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, and Dorado.  On inshore fishing charters
we are catching Jack Crevalle, Bonitos, skip jacks, and Spanish Mackerel.  The
Sailfish and Striped Marlin have been biting in open water about 10-15 miles past
the point of Punta de Mita Captain Hector also found a nice school of Dorado in
the same area last week.  Further offshore past the bank we found some smaller
Yellowfin Tuna nice football sized between 10-30 lbs which are great for the
barbecue or Sushi.  The Bigger Tuna over averaging 50-200 lbs are still biting 90+
miles offshore past the 2nd Island on overnight fishing charters. The bigger
Yellowfin have been biting using live bait and drifting with a kite You can see
