Puerto Vallarta fishing review October 2014 We were staying in Sayulita and I wanted to book an all day fishing charter on
the Animal House. After numerous emails Damon was able to get us booked. We sealed the deal in a PEMEX parking lot
outside of Sayulita. Thank you Damon for all your extra effort!!
We departed the dock the following morning. We ran out to Corbateena to start the day of fishing.
This is a very nice fishing machine. The ride out was not only fast but very comfortable. My wife is disabled because of her
back and she didn't complain all day about the boat ride (11 hours). We started fishing and 6 hours later we still had not
had a bite. Lobo worked all the fishing gear non-stop the entire time. It was nice to watch a professional work tirelessly to
try to get the fish to co-operate. But as they say "That's Fishing" We arrived out at El Banco where no other boats had
been fishing that day. Luis the Captain decided we should get some Skip jack aboard and then troll for Marlin.
We brought in 5 Skip Jack and they went right into the Tuna Tubes. Lobo rigged 2 out on the outriggers and 1 on a down
rigger. After about 45 minutes Luis screams at me to get in the fighting chair we have a Marlin on!!
This fighting chair is to die for!! It has a foot pedestal to help with leverage, it swivels in the direction where you are fighting
the fish. Lobo strapped on the reel fighting harness and we went to work on the Marlin. 50 minutes later we had a 300+
pound Blue Marlin along side the boat. I asked them to release the fish and they did without ever lifting the fish out of the
water. It had been 17 years since I caught a Marlin that size. This was by far the best Crew and fishing machine I have had
the pleasure to fish with in my 20 years of fishing all over Mexico. Thank you guys for a trip of a life time!! ( See you in
March for another Round
