Puerto Vallarta fishing Report March 2nd
change of Weather these last couple days the
mornings are heating up again the water is
getting clearer and south of the bay is full of
action jack's, sierra's and red snapper, the
striped marlin and sailfish have headed north of
sellulyta which is great because last week we
had to go 7 miles west of the bank to find some
bill fish thats about 60 miles offshore. The
average size right now is 130 lbs still a hell of a
fight! We caught and tagged 11 striped marlins
last week we had to keep 3 because there
stomach's got tangled but these last couple days
have been great 2 days ago we went out and
saw about 60 of them jumping around casted out
and had a double hook up with 2 120 pounder's
beautiful fish! the fishing is still good north of the
bank a little bigger in size averaging 130-180 lb
striped marlins sailfish, and also smaller 10-40
lb  yellow fin tuna and mahi mahi averaging 3-5 ft.
all around the fishing is great you can do a short
day and get lots of action a half a day and still get
a billfish or full day to the bank and catch bill fish
and something for dinner. here is a e-mail and
photo from Mickey Foreman who went out with on
the luhrs last week.
Just wanted to send a photo of marlin we
caught. We had a great time and will book
again next time back. Both Steve and Freddy
were great let them know I had a great time!
and May try and get down when the blues
and blacks are running.
thanks

Puerto Vallarta fishing report June 5 2008.
well the tides have been shifting and the fish are
all over the place. right off the point has been very
solid this last week with sailfish averaging
70-110-lbs, mahi mahi,  and red snapper. It is a
great season when you can go for a short 6 hour
day and still catch a sailfish and something for
dinner. Now if you want to get into some yellow fin
tuna they are little further out you need to hit north
of corbetena or the banks but if you get out there
it's boiling hot  there jumping all over the place.
We also spotted a some nice Black marlins last
week also north of corbetena we did not get a bite
but it's a great sign that their out there already and
I  bet anyone the first nice rain we get we will be
reeling in those nice 500lb billfish soon after!
that's all for now if you need some more info or a
more recent Puerto Vallarta fishing report  please
contact us and we will send you a fresh report and
recent photos of last weeks catch.
Puerto Vallarta fishing report June 19 2008
well it has been wide open this last week
corbetena is still red hot with yellowfin tuna,
smaller blue marlin, sailfish, and mahi mahi. The
tuna have been biting blue and red and white
cedar plugs and sardines. We are also using live
google eyes, black and purple  lures we are
hoping to bring in the first big 200+ tuna this
week we caught a 90 lb last week which is the
biggest so far this season but the 10-30 lb
yellowfin are biting every day we have been
averaging 15-25 footballs each trip to corbetena!
The bay has been wide open also with smaller
mahi mahi red snapper, jack crevalle the
occasional sailfish, and smaller 5-15 lb tuna lots
of action either  way you go. The weather well it's
definitely getting hot the humidity has gone way
up since we just had a full week of rain but when
the rain falls the water heats up and then we start
to see those 300+ tuna's and 500 + marlins this
last week we brought in a nice 350 lb blue marlin
but have not caught anything over 200 since but I
bet we will dock the first 500+ marlin and 200+
yellowfin tuna before June comes to an end and
they will only get bigger after that. For a more
recent report please
contact us and we will send
you a recent report and recent photos of what we
have been catching.

. Back at ya with a fresh Puerto Vallarta fishing
report by  PV Sportfishing.  The fishing has been
great the tuna's are gradually getting bigger and
the first 100+ lb yellow fin tuna of the season was
caught last week so it's safe to say the cow's are
coming! for those of you that dream about
catching a huge yellowfin tuna you want to get
down here middle of September through
October that is the best time to catch 300 +
tuna's last season the biggest tuna we caught
was 342 lbs September 27th. This last week the
banks and corbetena has been full of   tuna's
averaging size  20-40 lbs, sailfish have been
90-130 lbs, blue marlin, 100-350 lbs, black
100-300 lbs and wahoo 20-50 lbs. both of the
points have been good fishing also if you wan to
say close in you can still catch sailfish, mahi
mahi, smaller tuna,  roosterfish, and jacks. if you

Back at ya with a Fresh Salt water Puerto
Vallarta  fishing Report.
November 2nd 2008.
The black marlins have  grown rapidly these last
2 weeks in numbers and in size we tagged a 500
+ and 300 + got tangled in the line so we had to
bring it From  the bank Sunday what a fish We
were not doing anything to tricky just trolling with
live bait and lures. We  also found a nice dirt line
and filled the rest of the day casting for dorado's
and brought home a feast you find the right spot
right now and you can catch as many dorado's as
you can handle and remember Fish In PV
Sportfishing now offer's a freezer service located
right here in the marina so you can bring your
fresh dorado steaks back home if you like! the
cow season has been slow these is normally the
time of the year when everyone is bragging about
the big tuna I caught We have seen 2 300 + cows
and about a 1/2 dozen 200+ this season which is
very rare for Puerto Vallarta but that's fishing.
The bay is full of jack's bonita's smaller Dorado,
Needle fish, and red snapper. so even on a short
day you can get alot of smaller action which is
pretty normal in Puerto Vallarta or go for a  half
day off the point  Where We have  been catching
sailfish, Dorado, and striped marlin for a more
recent Puerto Valalrta fishing report please

Puerto Vallarta fishing FISHING REPORT:
DECEMBER 1, 2008

WATER TEMP:  85F    AIR TEMP:65-85F
SPORT FISHING ENTHUSIASTS ENJOYED THE
THREE DAY CHALLENGE OF THE 53RD PUERTO
VALLARTA SPORT FISHING TOURNAMENT (PEZ Y
VELA), NOVEMBER 12-15TH. WINNER IN THE
MARLIN CATEGORY WAS A 303 POUNDER
(133KG)! THE 46 POUND (20KG) MAHI AND 144
POUND (63KG) YELLOWFIN TUNA WON THEIR
RESPECTIVE CLASSES AND THE LARGEST SAIL
TAKEN WEIGHED IN AT 98POUNDS (43 KG). JUST
OFF THE POINT OF PUNTA MITA ON THE
NORTHEND OF BANDERAS BAY THE FISHING HAS
BEEN CONSISTENTLY RELIABLE FOR LOTS OF
MAHI, FOOTBALL YELLOWFIN, AND SAILFISH.
LAST WEEK, THE SIRENA SPORTFISHING CREW,
ON A 10 HOUR TRIP, SUCESSFULLY TAGGED AND
RELEASED AS MANY AS 7 SAILFISH IN THE 65-100
POUND RANGE.  SAILFISH ARE HITTING DEAD BAIT
WHEN TROLLING BUT THEIR PREFERRED “TAKE-
OUT”, IS FLYING FISH; SO THE RIGGED GOGGLE
EYES WITH PINK AND GREEN SKIRTS MAKE AN
EXCELLENT ALTERNATIVE MENU OFFERING.
SURFACE-FEEDING, MAHI AND SAILFISH ARE
HAMMERING LIVE BAIT AS WELL.SIRENA’s CREW
SPOTTED THE FIRST STRIPED MARLIN OF THE
SEASON AT CORBETENA ON A RECENT TRIP BUT
TAGGED 3 MARLIN AND SAILS FOR THE DAY.
BOATS AROUND EL BANCO, SINCE THEN, ALSO
ARE REPORTING MORE SIGHTINGS OF STRIPERS.
THESE EARLY SIGHTINGS BODE WELL FOR THE
COMING SEASON FOR GREAT SPORT FISHING IN
PUERTO VALLARTA.  THE SPINNER DOLPHINS ARE
TRAVELING WITH GOOD SIZE YELLOWFINS .SLOW
TROLLING WITH LIVE “SKIPPIES” (JACKS) AND
LOTS OF TEASERS BRINGS FISH UP. CHANGING
TO FASTER TROLL SPEED USING DEAD BAIT AND
LURES ALSO WORKED WELL WITH MAHI AND
SAILFISH.
THE WATER IS CLEAR BLUE, CLEAN AND WARM.
THE WEATHER IS FINALLY COMFORTABLE AND
FOLKS ARE BRINGING IN FISH EVERYDAY.
ROOSTERS AND JACK CRAVELLES ARE WORKING
THEIR WAY NORTH AND A DAY ON THE WATER IS
BETTER THAN ANY DAY AT WORK! PLAN A DAY
OR MORE FISHING WITH THE EXPERIENCED CREW
OF THE SIRENA, AND….REMEMBER TO TAG AND
RELEASE ALL BILLFISH TO HELP PRESERVE THE
STOCKS FOR THE FUTURE ENJOYMENT OF ALL.
